How to Get FREE One Way Links & Traffics (part 1)
Are there any relationship between one way links and traffics? You have already known the answer: YES! Getting many one way links is the key to rank well in Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs). By ranking well in SERPs, you will get lots of traffics.
One of the oldest ways to get one way links is by asking another webmasters to do three way (or even multi way) links exchange. You must have known how difficult it is; especially if your website is still new and hasn't had any Page Ranks. Fortunately, there are many other ways you can use to get one way links and traffics. Here they are:
- Submitting your articles to free articles directories
Creating and then submitting articles to free articles directories are the easiest way to get one way links since your biography (including a link to your website) will be included at the end of your articles. Many websites also use articles from these directories as their contents; so there is possibility you get lots of one way links (though not all of them are useful). - Submitting your website to niche directories
Free directories such as dmoz are still the best choice to get high quality one way links. But being honest, how long does it take to get approved? I believe most of you have been waiting for months (or even years) now. So why don't you take another path? There are hundreds of smaller niche directories out there. Getting listed in these directories is much easier. You can use Google or yahoo to find them by using "your_niche+directory" as a keyword; for example: "insurance directory". - Creating signatures in popular forums
Posting your link as a signature in popular forums is another way to get one way links. Though search engine doesn't put much weight on signature links, you can still get other benefits from it. How? Just try to being active in popular forums and build a reputation as an expert in your field. If you successfully do this, people will be interested to click your link. - Developing a software/ template and then distributing it freely, don't forget to create a link to your website in it
You can use this approach if you are a programmer or designer. But there is drawback: some people might remove your link and claim that software/ template as their own. - Posting comments in popular blogs
This used to be one of the easiest ways to get one way links. Many webmasters posted comments in popular blogs, and leaving their url to get one way links. Some even hired freelancers to help them doing it. But this is not so effective anymore since many blogs tag their links with NOFOLLOW (this tag will prohibit search engine spiders from crawling your website). So, is it useless? Don't worry; while your links will not affect your positions in SERPs, it still brings traffics. People who are interested with your comments will definitely click your links. Tips: try to be the first people who give comments in popular blogs because the higher the positions of your comments are, the more traffics you get.
In the second part of this article, I will tell you how to utilize popular websites (such as Squidoo, Wikipedia, MySpace, etc) to get one way links.
