How to Get FREE One Way Links & Traffics (part 2)
In the first part of this article, I have told you the classic ways to get free one way links and traffics. Now I will tell you how to utilize popular websites (such as Technorati, Wikipedia, MySpace, etc) to get one way links and traffics. Here they are:
- Using Wikipedia
You have already known what wikipedia is. As the biggest online encyclopedia, it is visited by millions of visitors every day. So why don't you use it to generate traffics and getting one way links? As long as your website provides additional information for wiki readers, you may create links at the bottom of their articles. Though some of their external links are tagged with NOFOLLOW, it still sends significant traffics to your website.
Caution: don't spam! Just create links as long as your website has some added values. Otherwise it will be removed by their webmaster. - Using social bookmarking websites
Many people like to use social bookmarking websites (such as: digg, del.icio.us, fark, reddit, stumbleupon and dzone) as their source of traffics and one way links. These kinds of websites have hundreds of thousands visitors every day; once your article is previewed on their front pages, they will send lots of visitors overnight!
Caution:- It's not easy to be previewed on their front pages; especially if your article is IT related (I have another suggestion for this kind of article; read it here).
- If you use Pay per Click advertising to monetize your website, the traffics from social bookmarking websites are useless since they hardly click your ads.
- Using Yahoo Answer
There are thousands of people using Yahoo Answer to ask what they want to know everyday. It is commonly known that some webmasters have been using it as a new source to get one way links and traffics. How? They actively answer questions and provide links to their websites at the bottom of their answers. - Using Social Networking Websites
I believe most of you do like using social networking websites (such as MySpace, Facebook, orkut and Hi5) to find old and new friends. Do you realize that you can also use them for viral marketing? Just create a bulletin (with your link in it), and send it to all your friends. If they like it, it will send thousands of visitors to your website overnight. Again I should remind you, don't spam! Your bulletin should be interesting and informational enough; don't try to sell or promote something since it can be regarded as spam. - Using Youtube
Have you ever thought about creating your own promotional video and submitting it to Youtube? Many people have gained popularity by doing it. You can create something funny, weird or controversial (don't forget to feature your URL at the end of it), so people will be interested. - Creating lenses in Squidoo
While Squidoo is still new and has not gained much popularity, it has been attracting many search engines attentions. You can see that some of its lenses appear on the first page of SERPs and also have significant Google Page Ranks. So, why don't start creating lenses by now? You can create your own lens, putting some interesting information in it, and then link it to your website.
