How to Know a Drop Shipper is Legitimate or Not

Drop shipping has been proved to be very profitable as long as you choose the correct product to sell and doing business with a legitimate drop shipper. How could you know a drop shipper is legitimate or not? Here are the tips:

  1. Use search engines to find any complaints about them. You can use this keyword: "company_name+scam".
  2. Check their reputation in the Better Business Bureau website. Here is the address: http://www.bbb.org/. For you who don't know, the Better Business Bureau (BBBOnline) is an organization that helps solving problems between consumers and companies.
  3. Check their reputation in the related forums (drop shipping forum). There are many experienced people who love to share their experiences in these forums. Just post a question in a thread, and they will reply.
  4. Test them! Try to order a few items for yourself. Not only will you be able to check the quality of their products, you can also check their services as well.
  5. If you're charged before you can make any orders, be careful. No legitimate company will ask you to pay if you do not make any orders, right?
  6. Ask them about the delivery time, warranty, refunds, product replacement, and also their phone number and address. If they refuse to provide such information, rethink again before using their service.
  7. There should be no minimum order. Drop shipping is different from wholesaler. While wholesalers always require you to buy in large quantities, a legitimate drop shipper allows you to buy in pieces.
  8. When doing transactions with foreign drop shippers (especially from China), just ensure that they understand English. If they are serious to become international drop shippers, they should understand the international language too, right? Anyway, you will need to contact them regularly and you obviously don't want to have any miscommunications.
